Tasting - Rubus White Blend 2015

  • Rubus white blend 2015
  • colombard, ugni blanc, gros manseng
  • Southwest region
  • France
  • 2015
  • $7.95
  • Review - Fresh, clean and lively with intense exotic fruit aromas. Crisp, clean and zesty in the mouth, it offers delicate flavors of citrus fruit and grapefruit, and a long lingering finish.
My Tasting Notes

color: mainly straw colored with very pale yellow nuances and mostly see through

nose: very crisp and fresh nose of ocean breezes with lemon and grassy undertones around pear and green apple aromas.

Palate:
  • acidity: 3
  • body: 3
  • alcohol: 3
Grassy with green apple and pear dominating with notes of limes and lemons on the fresh finish. This wine feels smoother and rounder in the mouth but isn't too flabby. It has a really solid balance and would go really well with most fish dishes. It reminds me of spring. It'd be nice to drink it outside.
