Tasting - Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanc 2016

  • Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanc 2016
  • Sauvignon Blanc
  • San Antonio Valley
  • Chile
  • $10.99
  • Vineyard Brands: “This wine starts with light aromatics of pear, pink grapefruit and hints of jalapeno pepper. There are flavors of crushed mint, white peach, gooseberry and jalapeno pepper. This has nice minerality and poise, as it is on the lighter side."
My Tasting Notes:

Color: clear, faint straw hues, almost as clear as water in the glass

Nose: very fresh of green and white flowers, bushes with white blossoms, gress and herbs, fresh spring air and greens with faint stone fruits

Palate:
  • Body: 1
  • Acidity: 3.5
  • Alcohol: 2
Very light and easy on the palate. Fresh and balanced but also delicate flavors. Typical light green sauvignon blanc flavors, like green veggies, grass, hints of grapefruit, green pear, apple, lime, and green berries. This wine is very easy drinking and would go well with light seafood dishes and shellfish like oysters.
